My practice is deeply informed by my Chinese identity, family and cultural heritage. These shape the ways I explore artistic expressions of human connections and cultural influences.
My love of nature is a constant source of inspiration for my work. I am drawn to the changing light, colours, textures and moods found in the natural world and enjoy capturing both its tranquillity and energy. I work across a variety of mediums, including watercolour, oil, acrylic, pastel and printing.
Through my art, I seek to express a sense of beauty and purity while creating space for cultural reflections and personal emotions.

Painting introduces me to the self I haven't met yet. The blank canvas is where I return to centre, and where creativity flows freely, realizing potential. My work aims to awaken a sense of wonder at the magnificence of our world, to reveal something new, and to suspend the viewer for a few moments in a tranquil reflective space. My creative process begins with a vision that always leads to intuitive and random discoveries along the way. Working across oil, acrylic, watercolour and mixed media, I often produce a thematic series to evolve an idea or technique.  As art is a conversation not only with myself but with others, the creative process is truly fulfilled when my own sentiments in a piece resonate with someone else as well.

Pursuing joyful memories.
When I paint, I feel free, able to escape and explore. Painting allows me to tap into, release, and express my memories, making it possible to communicate joy from my observations and experiences through the power of colour and gestural marks. I like to present my paintings as an avenue for the viewer to make connections with me and to explore connections within themselves. I hope to stir up their internal memories by providing the means for them to experience the joy in their own past. I love hearing how my paintings relate to others life journey.
